5 reasons to never settle in relationship

When it comes to the things in people’s lives, they often strive to get the best they know they deserve. The only place they don’t strive for the best (and think they don’t deserve it) is a relationship. One should never settle in their relationship. Why? It’s not good for either person involved. What are some of the reasons you shouldn’t just settle when it comes to a relationship?

5 Reasons To Never Settle In Relationships

1 – Love Should Be Something More Than Settling Down With Just Anyone

One of the most powerful emotions you’ll experience is love. For people who have been truly in love, they feel on top of the world and invincible… as if nothing bad can ever happen to them. However, just as love can make you feel like a powerful force that needs to be reckoned with, it has the power to tear you apart from limb to limb… metaphorically speaking, of course.

Love becomes a huge part of who you are. Settling down with just anyone because you don’t think you deserve to be loved can destroy the very essence of who you are. Is this a sacrifice you are willing to make?

2 – Fear-Based Decision

You decide that being with someone is better than being with no one. The decision you’re making to settle is one based on fear. Fear that you’ll be alone, fear that you won’t be able to find another person that’s better than what you have or even fear that you’re not a good enough or attractive enough person to find someone else.

This is when you need to be strong and remember that you are meant for something else. Don’t allow fear to run your life. You need to trust in yourself that you can find a person who is meant for you.

3 – You Won’t Truly Be Happy

It’s important you understand that a relationship is a two-way street, which means when it ends, it’s never one person’s fault. You should always be happy in a relationship – that’s what love should make you do. If you settle down just for the sake of settling down or because it’s expected of you, you’re not going to be happy. You should be happy when in love.

And, if you’re not happy, perhaps it’s time to look at the reason why.

4 – You May Feel Like Something’s Missing

When it comes to relationships, you don’t want to settle down and regret it down the road because you’re afraid you missed out on something or someone. You don’t want to constantly think, “What did I do?” Don’t you want to keep saying every day that the kind of love you have is the kind you can’t live with? If you settle down for the sake of settling down, you’ll never have the love that makes you have butterflies in your stomach every time you’re together.

5 – You Don’t Grow As A Person

When you’re in a relationship, you grow to accept new outlooks and perspectives in life. However, if you settle with just anyone, you can’t get this as easily. When you’re with the person you love, you can share these experiences together. Settling in a relationship defeats the growing purpose. Yes, you’ll have someone in your life, but you won’t crave for things that help you to become a better person.

You can’t truly live if you’re just going through the motions of existing. You should have someone in your life that will add the logs to the fire – not a person who dampers it.

In order to not settle in relationships, you need to develop a strong foundation that gives you the strength to fight for what you deserve. Remember, life is all about forward motion. Don’t spend your time on a person you can’t truly love – not just for you but for the other person. After all, you can’t get the time back and you could miss out on something incredible.

It’s time to for you to find your true heart and love.

3 Main Reasons Why Men Pull Away From A Relationship and Dating Advice To Getting Through It

The scenario goes like this: you’ve been dating a man for a few weeks. Everything seems to be going good. You get along, you love going out with each other and enjoy one another’s company. He calls you often just to check on your or just touch base. However, everything seems to have changed. He’s not calling just because, he’s not hanging around as often and your time together seems to get shorter and shorter.

He’s pulling away. And, you’re wondering what’s happening. Don’t worry! Every woman has been there… and will continue to be. It really is a man thing! Here’s some dating advice that’ll be good to remember when it comes to facing this “problem”

3 Key Reasons Why Men Pull Away From A Relationship and Some Dating Advice On How You Can Get Through It

You Lost You In The Relationship; Focus More On You

When women start dating a man, they often don’t realize that they let the relationship redefine who they are. Most women know who they are at the start of the relationship; but, over time, seem to lose themselves in that relationship. If you notice your man stars to pull away, he may have realized what’s happening and needs to take a step back from it.

And, when you notice your man stops calling or coming by as often, it’s time to put attention back on yourself. Do things for yourself. Don’t keep wondering what he’s up to. Focus on what makes you happy and makes you tick. Do things that will distract you from what’s happening in his world.

He’s Feeling Smothered, Give Him The Breathing Room He Needs

Another reason why men pull away from a relationship is that they may feel smothered by your advances, and decide the best thing they can do for themselves is to get some breathing room. Of course, your first inclination is to get closer and eliminate the space that he’s created between the two of you. However, this can lead to even more resistance.

Don’t give him ultimatums about the relationship. Instead, give him incentives to come back. Again, during this time, rediscover who you are and give him a reason to come back. Don’t call him or send him emails. Don’t show up where you’d know where he’d be – work, school, gym, etc. Don’t reach out to his friends to find out who he is.

The idea is to leave him wondering how things are with you.

He’s Stressed Out, Allow Him To Retreat

Believe it or not, men do get stressed out – and it may not even have anything to do with the relationship. When women are stressed out, they want to talk about the things that are bothering them. Men, on the other hand, like to sit back, brood about it and do some thinking… alone.

What can you do if you find that your man is taking a step back from the relationship from stress? You need to let him find a way to work through the stress on his own, if he wants. If you constantly pester him about what’s going on, it’s just adding stress to his life… and he’ll run for the hills. And, when he does finally open up and talk to you about it, listen. Don’t give your opinion on the matter and give him solutions. He’ll ask for the advice, if he wants it from you.

When it comes to learning the reasons why men pull away from a relationship, it’s important to remember that each person has their own feelings and needs. Serious relationships can withstand men pulling away, as it often deepens and strength the bond between the couple. Here’s the best important dating advice you need to keep in mind: remember to be who you were when he met you and keep an open mind of the relationship.

5 Attractive Qualities Men Find Alluring In Women

Women often wonder what it is about them that makes a man tick. Most women automatically assume that their physical appearance is the only thing that turns men on. But, here’s new flash ladies, that’s not the most important quality on a man’s mind. Okay, let’s rephrase that, it’s not the important quality on MOST men’s minds.

Believe it or not, just looking good is not enough for most men. They need, they want, they crave sustenance from the ladies they talk to. Most men don’t like the idea of hanging around a ditzy woman for their mate. And, what happens to the connection between the pair if she decides her looks are no longer important?

No, most men are of the mind that there are more important qualities to find in a mate. In fact, as there are so many of them, it’s important to focus on the five most attractive qualities men find alluring in women.

Confidence

There’s no doubt that confidence makes the list of the five attractive qualities men find alluring in women. Why is confidence such a big thing with men? Women who have confidence in themselves don’t look for anyone’s approval, most especially a man’s approval. And, women who exuviate confidence don’t go seeking out attention.

Men love it when a women can get all men to look at her – in a positive way – and even more so, when she knows she’s done it. Women who have confidence in themselves show men that they don’t need them, and being with that man means she’s choosing to be with him. Confident women speak their minds, so you always know what she’s thinking.

Clearly Defined Goals

Women who have clearly defined goals have substance to them. Goals have an air of self-awareness. Goals show men what a woman is like today and tomorrow. And, that she’s ambitious. It also shows men that women know what they want from their life and that they don’t need men to define them.

Defined Standards

When it comes to one of the five attractive qualities men find alluring in women, having defined standards ranks high up on the list. And, it’s not just standards for herself but for people around her. Women with standards let people known – tastefully – how they want to be treated and how they want their friends to be treated.

Some men see this has a superiority complex, but really, it’s all about her desire to control the things in her life. She already understands that she’s worth the good things, and she wants to keep that standard going.

Spontaneous

While men love it that women have clearly defined goals, they also love it when she decides to do something spontaneous; more so if that spontaneity involves doing something with them. Perhaps she had something planned and decided it wasn’t all that important after all and decided to do something on the whim.

Men love it when women keep them guessing, even if it makes their hair go bald or grey earlier. They just don’t let women know it! In fact, spontaneity is one key to keeping relationships healthy.

Intelligence

One of the other five qualities men find alluring in women is their intelligence/smarts. A woman who can keep conversations going, even without any words, can attract a man. Her smarts can allure him to her. She may know things a man had no clue about, helping him to expand his knowledge and horizon. Her knowledge to make him critically think kicks his senses into overdrive.

Of course, the conversation needs to be more than what their favorite reality television show is or what their favorite clothes designer is.

A woman doesn’t need a degree from Yale to be a great conversationalist; she just needs to have a deeper insight into life and know what things are most important to life.

What the five qualities men find alluring in women boils down to is this: men want a woman who is their partner and their equal. They want to be with a woman who can think for herself and not be so reliant on him to make all the decisions in the relationship. They want a woman to want them… not need them!

5 Steps To Maintain Your Long distance Relationship

As a relationship coach, I am passionate when it comes to talking about love and relationships.

I thought I would like to talk to you about long distant relationships today. As I am Asian who live in Australia, I get a lots of questions from women.

What I think about long distant relationships, how it works and how to maintain a long distant relationship how to have a deep connection, even though you are far from each other.

Well, as a lot people agree, long distant relationships can be tough because you can’t hug and kiss each other physically and you can’t do things together such as go to a movie together ect…

So before I answer your question, I would like to share with you that a lot of my friends have had positive long distant success with their long distant relationship, and whom are now married and have children. Some of them have been married for 10 years now.

If you are now in a long distant relationship, you may sometimes find yourself feeling a little worried, it might be too much for you or for whichever reasons, you are not able to obtain your relationship’s full potential.

Here are 5 steps to help maintain your LDR.

Step 1. Communication.

Make sure that every day you have time to communicate with each other. Either via messaging or calling him. Taking a little time to talk with each other is a great way to build your trust and know you both are making an effort for your relationship.

Step 2. Connection.

A few passionate words and a smile on your face in the morning (by texts or Skype)  can make him feel that you are an angel who has come from heaven! It will make his entire day great, and that way he can grow his attraction and feelings for you, even though you are far from each other.

Step 3. Surprises.

Surprise him when you talk on skype or face time. For example have a romantic dinner together on skype, light some candles with music, and have some flowers in your room, This will make him think of what it will be like when you both are actually together at a romantic dinner. Tell him how nice and happy you are with the dinner that you have had together, he will imagine all night long about the surprised you gave him.

Step 4. Compliment.

As much we want someone to compliment us, men also wanted to be complimented by you.

So, let’s say he had a hair cut or is wearing new clothes, compliment him by saying “have you just had your hair cut? It’s great, you look good, (Sexy)”. Without him realising, you have lit up his ego, and he feels good and content.

Step 5. Trust.

Trust him, trust your relationship, and know that you both have already created meaning and purpose in your relationship.

Hope this information will help your LDR challenges.

Much love and blessing

Milly
